Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Services
Linguapass LLC ("we") provides certified document translation services. By placing an order you agree to these terms.
2. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is processed by Stripe at the time of order. Discounts (including promo codes) apply only to the subtotal, not to rush/expedited surcharges, and are used only once per order.
3. Turnaround
Turnaround targets (Standard 24h, Rush 12h, Expedited 6h) begin once your payment is confirmed and apply to translation work performed by us. They do not include time spent waiting for clarifying information from the customer, source-document issues, or events outside our control (see Limitations & Force Majeure). If we miss a paid Rush or Expedited window for reasons within our control, we will refund the corresponding surcharge.
4. Accuracy and revisions
We stand behind the linguistic accuracy of every translation and will correct any error attributable to our work at no cost within 14 days of delivery. If a document is rejected by a receiving institution solely due to a translation error on our part, we will revise the translation free of charge or, at our discretion, refund the translation fee. Revisions are requested via the order page in your account.
5. Confidentiality
We treat every document as confidential. Only the assigned translator, proofreader, and our internal reviewers have access. Source files are retained for 2 years for auditing and then permanently deleted.
6. Refunds and cancellations
Orders can be cancelled before payment with no charge. Paid orders can be cancelled before translation work begins for a full refund. Once work begins, a pro-rated refund may be available at our discretion.
7. Limitations & Force Majeure
Our quality guarantee covers translation errors attributable to us. It does not cover: (a) acceptance decisions by USCIS, universities, courts, embassies, or other third parties — these institutions set their own policies and may reject documents for reasons unrelated to translation quality (e.g., source-document issues, missing pages, applicant errors, jurisdictional or policy changes); (b) hard-copy delivery times, which depend on USPS, FedEx, or other carriers and are not guaranteed by us; (c) delays caused by force-majeure events including but not limited to natural disasters, internet or payment-processor outages, government actions, labor disputes, or any cause outside our reasonable control. In all cases, our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the price paid for the specific order in question.
8. Limitation of liability
Linguapass is not liable for decisions made by third parties (USCIS, universities, courts, embassies) based on our translations. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA.
